Financial Aid for Cheong Ming Long

I am Cheong Ming Long, raised in a single parent family since I was in primary school.
My mother has been strong to support the family. In 2020, my grandparents passed away and economic downfall caused a major emotional upset to her. I had to defer my studies for a year to work as a part timer to lessen the financial burden of my family and hope to continue my studies with my savings.
I am an undergraduate Civil Engineering student that is currently undertaking a degree course at Curtin University. I was asking around for help in all form so I can continue my studies and I got in contact with Mr. Carl. He was very informative and professional during the interview. After the interview, I contacted Tun Richard to inform him more about my situation. Tun Richard was very caring and showed concern to the situation I was facing. I was guided throughout the process to write a letter about my situation to people that were willing to lend a hand. Also, I was introduced to apply student funding from foundations around Sabah.
Tun Richard brought me to Kampung Timpagoh Sugud to survey the house of a family that was caught in a fire. I was amazed by how many people Osimal Foundation have been helping in the past. I received enough funding for my study and living expenses within a month! My hope to continue my studies would not be possible without the help from Tun Richard and Osimal Foundation. There are no words that can express how grateful I am and humbled for all the love and help I received to get through these difficulties.
