Testimonial

My name is Lee Long Shuen. I am currently studying electronic (computer) engineering course at University Malaysia Sabah (UMS). I come from a poor family. My mother is a rubber tapper and I have a younger sister who is now studying in primary six at a government school. My family’s monthly income is as little as Rm450 only. Despite my poor condition, I tried very hard in my studies and was able to achieve 5 As in the SPM examination in SMK St Mary Limbahau, Papar.

I received an offer letter to further my studies in STPM at SM La Salle Tanjung Aru. Unfortunately, because of my poor family condition, I was barely able to further my studies. My secondary school principal knew about this. She helped by introducing me to Osimal Foundation. From there, I was given a new glimpse of hope. Osimal Foundation managed to get sponsors to fund my studies.

I wish to express my deepest appreciation to the Dato’ Chua Song Lim & Datin Koh Sai Eng Foundation, Osimal Foundation, Tun Richard Malanjum, Toh Puan Charlene Jintoni, Madam Elizabeth Mak and Dato’ Seri Gopal Sri Ram for allowing me to change my life and that of my family. Without their help, I would not have been able to finish my STPM and further my studies in university. I am now more determined to study hard and change the fate of my family.

I am very grateful for such kindness from them that I hope in turn I'll be able to return and help other needy students to achieve their goals in the future.
