NGO helps ease hardship of villagers

PENAMPANG: Instances of six-year-olds having to walk two hours to get to school is no shocker for a State that still has a lot of catching up to do in terms of infrastructure development like Sabah. The long and risky walk to school is also among the reasons why youngsters in several rural parts of the State opt to stay home instead of going to school. However, thanks to efforts by charitable bodies like Osimal Foundation, children in Penampang’s Kg Buayan and Kg Longkogungan as well as Kg Matanggal (Paitan) no longer have to go through the exhausting commute to and from school.
